Settings Files
Once the software is first started, several internal settings files, referred as the “star-
dot-df” (*.df) files, are maintained in the D:\MonitorProgram\SETTINGS directory.
These files contain the operational configuration settings as selected in the various
setup screens. When viewing the SETTINGS directory, not all filenames may be
present. If no operational parameters have been changed for a specific function, the
monitor will operate using the default parameters and will not create the
corresponding “*.df” file. In addition, when the program is closed (using Alt+F4
from the Service Menu), settings files that contain only factory defaults are deleted.
The list of files with a brief description of their contents follows, grouped under the
headings that designate their purpose.

c_param.df
The c_param.df file stores the settings from the F1 – Common Values screen.
This includes the monitor ID, location ID, and serial number, the units for count
rate and activity displays confidence limits for alarms and false alarms, and
switches that affect counting strategy for the whole system, such as Zone Alarm.
