Alarm Test Data Log
The Alarm Test Data Log (filename ALARMTST[*][*].CSV) records when alarm
tests were performed and which zones were tested successfully (i.e. alarmed). The
test is started when the Alarm Test key switch is switched from “NORMAL” to
“ALARM TEST” and ends when the key is returned to the “NORMAL” position.
The column headings and associated data format are:
Seconds/Test: The number of seconds per monitoring cycle for this series of
tests.
Total Tests: The number of monitoring cycles performed during the Alarm Test.
Clean n: The number of “clean” results for detection zone #n during the Alarm
Test. This column heading is repeated for all zones.
Contaminated n: The number of “contaminated” results for detection zone #n
during the Alarm Test. This column heading is repeated for all zones.
Rate Units: The last column shows the count rate units, cps or cpm.
Each subsequent row below the header row contains the results for a single Alarm
Test sequence, including its date and time of occurrence.
Service Data Log
The Service Data Log (filename SERVICE.CSV) records the time and date of any
service operation, including “Monitor Start”, “In Service”, “Out of Service”,
“Excessive Bkg Out of Service”, “Detector Contaminated Out of Service”, “Menu
Request”, “Alarm Test” and/or “Coverage Test” and “Program Exit”. The Service
Data Log also records an event each time a setup screen is changed, for example
“Background History Cleared”, “Setup Common Values Changed”, “Conditional
Service Set Zone 2”, “Setup Auto Self Shield Factor Changed” or “Setup Operation
Configuration Changed”.
It will log when a particular fault is set, is cleared (F4 – Faults screen on page 221),
or is automatically cleared. In particular, detector faults that occurred while on the
Out of Service screen are logged since detector faults could occur since background
continues to be collected while on the Out of Service screen.
The file destination is selected as “File”, “Print”, “File & Print” or “None”. When
enabled, transitioning to the Out of Service screen prints a summary to the default
printer (which will accumulate in the print spooler if the printer is not working). If a
print option is selected then the files DLS_Begin.txt and DLS_End.txt are inserted at
the beginning and end of the printout, respectively. These files are located in the
CUSTOM sub-folder (usually D:\MonitorProgram\CUSTOM\).
The data column headings include Service Event.
Each subsequent row below the header contains the date and time of each service
event along with the type of event (e.g. “Menu Request”, “In Service”, etc.).
Supplementary details for some types of events, such as Out of Service, are entered in
