Reinstalling or Updating Monitor Software
Updating Monitor Software
To update the software to the latest version, order a new “Monitor Software
Installation Kit” (SCN 814358) from Mirion Technologies (Canberra CA) Ltd. and
follow the steps shown in (SCN) 7070025 SOFT-MON-SERIAL Monitor Software
Installation Instructions that comes with the new kit. One may also obtain the update
via various other means (possibly via the Internet etc.). In this case, one can make
use of other USB media with USB adapters instead of a USB Memory Stick.
Contact your local Mirion Technologies (Canberra CA) Ltd. service affiliate for
additional assistance or to obtain the latest version.
Note: Updating software versions to take advantage of new features, enhancements
or fixes could affect user procedures. Therefore, request software change
information from your local Mirion Technologies (Canberra CA) Ltd.

ervice affiliate to help evaluate whether updating the software is
practical for your particular application.

application software, follow the steps shown in (SCN) 7070025 SOFT-MON-
SERIAL Monitor Software Installation Instructions, which would have come
with
the pre-loaded USB Memory Stick as “Monitor Software Installation Kit” (SCN
814358) which came with your order.
Reinstalling or Updating Windows 7 Image
Obtain and use SCN 708033 in the case of Setup USB and follow SCN 7080334
Windows 7 Embedded Installation Instructions. Contact your local service
affiliate for additional assistance or to obtain the latest version or if you require
Window XP Embedded Image.
BIOS Setup
There may be a rare occasion
when the BIOS settings may be lost (for example, when
the computer board is removed from the Carrier Board, or when the backup battery
needs to be replaced). Follow the procedure below to load the BIOS Factory Settings
for the BIOS ID 4463 or BIOS ID 4463N. The BIOS ID can be determined when
cold booting the computer. If it is different than the IDs described below, contact
your local Mirion Technologies (Canberra CA) Ltd. Service organization for further
details and/or assistance.
SOM 4463/4463N (SCN 7071914) BIOS Setup Procedure
1. Set System Time and System Date (at the Main tab).
2. Load Optimal Defaults (at the Exit tab).
