F3 – Setup Menu
The Setup Menu is shown in Figure 50. It is used to set operating parameters and to
configure several other items.
Figure 50 Setup Menu
The F3 – Calibration screen (under the F3 – Detection Zones screen) is used to
perform efficiency calibrations. Setup parameters are stored on the hard drive and are
recalled automatically on start-up.
Changes made to operational settings are automatically applied upon exiting the
various setup screens (by pressing the Esc key) and the event is recorded in the
Service Data Log (on page 162), if enabled. Operational settings are stored in
Settings Files *.df (on page 297) that are maintained in the
D:\MonitorProgram\SETTINGS directory. Selected changes, specifically Common
Values, Detection Zones, and Background History screen settings, are saved to disk
immediately following the change (instead of when exiting the screen via the Esc
key). This is to prevent changes being lost if power fails while calibrating or
changing critical settings. Previous settings can still be restored using the Ctrl+F7
key before exiting the screen.
The Setup Menu functions are as follows.
Function Keys
All Setup menu screens have a common “look and feel”. The active function keys
are shown in the top right-hand corner with a brief description of the effect if the key
is pressed.
