These settings determine whether various text files are created automatically and how
many days they are retained.

The Print Screen (Key) line item determines what occurs when the keyboard Print
Screen key is pressed in any operating mode, including Service mode. The choices
are “B&W BMP” (default), “Color BMP”, “B&W PNG”, and “Color PNG”, “B&W
Printer”, and “Color Printer”.
The “B&W Printer and “Color Printer” options bring up the standard Windows Print
dialog box whereby the screen can be printed to a local or network printer. “B&W
BMP”, “Color BMP”, “B&W PNG”, and “Color PNG”, bring up the standard
Windows® Save As dialog box whereby the screen can be saved as a black and white
or color bitmap file (*.BMP) respectively. The default target directory is the
DATALOG directory, while the default file name is uniquely assigned to each screen
(e.g. DATALOG.BMP for the Data Log setup screen). Additional numbers or
characters can be added to the default file name to allow different instances (versions)
of each screen to be saved without overwriting the previous one. The clock tick
sound (BEEP.WAV) is used to indicate both the start and end of the saving to file
process.
Auto Save File Type: Choices are “UTF-8” (default), “UNICODE”, “ANSI”. The
default setting is recommended unless an end-user application requires otherwise.
Note that this setting is also used for the following files:
• RECENT.LOG (type of existing file will override setting)
• MAINTAIN.LOG (type of existing file will override setting)
