The Database Settings screen (when enabled) allows the user to modify database
settings.
Figure 19 Database Setup Screen
• This screen is only available when SQL Express and OBDC are setup
properly. Refer to the Monitor Local Database Support Manual.
• Its settings are kept in DATABASE.DF file.
• Database choices are “Disable” (default) and “Enable”. Is settable only if the
SOFT-LDB database has been installed.
If the database is “Disable” you can use the “Export the Results” when
“Enabled” to facilitate 3rd party external databases entries. The Export
Directory Name setting is shown. The default is blank. If specified folder does
not exist or is blank then D:\MonitorProgram\DATALOG folder is used.
• Daily Backup (full database) is done when placed in service and at time
indicated. Please Wait is shown on screen with Database Maintenance
shown in lower left while this is done (this can take 10 minutes depending on
how much data is in the database). This also deletes old entries when the
number of entries reaches a pre-determined limit.
• Filter from DB_INFO.LOG file is used to strip header common to all
messages received from the database to save bytes in the log file (and to
make it more readable).
• Maximum Size of DB_INFO.LOG is in bytes. Oldest entries are removed
when this size is exceeded. Default is 2,000,000 bytes.
