the file properties should be changed to Read Only so that a program re-installation
or upgrade will not overwrite it.
The CALIB.INI source list is used only when the control program cannot find the
CALIBSRC.DF file, or when CALIB.INI is loaded using the Ctrl+F6 key. See
example below:

Function Keys
PgDn, PgUp = Change Source: selects the source number to be reviewed/edited.
F1 = Add Source to List: Increments the Sources In List value by one, sets Edit
Source to the new source number and blanks the remaining item values in preparation
for entering properties for a new source.
F2 = Delete Source from List: Deletes the currently selected source from the list and
decreases the Sources In List value by one. The properties for the next source are
displayed. The deleted source can be restored by pressing the Ctrl+F7 key before
pressing Esc to return to the Setup Menu.
F3 = Toggle Manual/Library: In Library mode, the line item “Isotope” becomes a
scroll box and the line item “Half Life” becomes read-only. The +/- keys are used to
scroll through the hard-coded Isotope Library and the corresponding isotope half-life
is automatically displayed. If the required calibration source isotope is not on the list,
press F3 to toggle these two line items to “Manual”. Data may now be entered from
the keyboard into the Isotope and Half Life text boxes. Verify the half-life data
carefully since it affects efficiency calibrations.
F6 = Set Factory Default for the selected item (applicable to Activity / Emission
Rate and Emission Rate / Activity line items only).
