Changes for CANBERRA Health Physics Monitors
VERSION 9.01 SOFTWARE (160524)
1 of 8
General Improvements (160524)
1) Fixed Contamination screen coloring of contaminated sum zones that consisted of more than
one type (foot, leg, body, hand, etc.) of detector. Previously sum zone detectors that were a
different type than the sum zone type was being ignored when determine detector color on
layout drawing. This restriction has been removed. This has been an issue since additional
types were added to Argos in Monitor Program version 8.05 (130107). [A]

2) Improved handling of detector voltage initialization (High Voltage, Discriminator Voltage, etc.)
and for TPS-AB and TPS-BG detector that Auto Balance is only done when High Voltage is
not ramping (up or down) and that Auto Balance is done before using detectors for counting
[A][S]
3) Added display of voltage to top right area of (traditional interface) test screens that collect
data. Always on for Test bench model, use Ctrl+F10 to see for other models [A][S][G][C][T]
o F2 – Test, F8 – Discriminator Plot
o F2 – Test, F9 – Plateau Plot (turns off HV when done)
o F2 – Test, F12 - Background Trend
o Shift+F2 – Additional Test, F1 – Optimize HV (turns off HV when done)
o Shift+F2 – Additional Test, F9 – Test Histogram. (turns off HV when done) [T]
o F3 – Setup, F3 – Detection Zones, F3 – Calibration. [T]
4) Improved Test Menu and Test Auxiliary Menu detection of configuration changes (looks at all
boards instead of just detector boards) for outstanding faults. In general test screens do not
set system faults so fault recovery is done when test menu is accessed. In some
circumstances clearing faults on Fault screen may also be necessary. [A][S][G][C][T]
o If a Board Id or Rev has changed since last initialization then all boards are re-initialized
o If a Board Fault is outstanding a single board initialization is done for that board.
o High Voltages are turned off and Voltage settings are re-synchronized
o For Bench Test model when board is initialized the Model Selection, Board Installed
setting is updated with board found. Setting is left as is for boards missing.
5) Changed "Please Leave" to go straight to "Stay Back" when approach sensor is active and no
longer occupied. [A][G]
6) Fixed check for system board faults during program initialization when system faults are not
yet loaded. [A][S][G][C]
7) Fixed parsing of Board (bus) Faults to log correct description of board (bus) faults.
[A][S][G][C]
8) Fixed F2 – Test, F10 – Board ID to remove missing boards from board detected table.
[A][S][G][C][T]
9) Fixed F2 – Test, F9- -Test Plateau setting of HV for 3 section detectors when only one section
is being collected. [A][S][T]
10) Fixed Exit Program to turn off all relays on main and auxiliary sensor boards. [A][S][G][C][T]
The SOFT-LDB table CI_PMD_CURRENT_STATUS is also cleared during program exit.
11) Fixed Verification Test to properly shown detectors being counted and net count rate of
previous detector on screen. This was inadvertently hidden when adding Not Available to
Last contaminated screen (when no results are available). See Change 16. below. [A][S][G]
