Using the transceiver in free tune and Amateur Mode

Tuning to a free-tune frequency

To tune to a frequency:

1 Press FREE Rx.

The transceiver tunes to the frequency that was currently selected in the Channel

List and the cursor is placed under the last digit.

If you are able to transmit during Free Tune, the Rx is replaced by a Tx within the

amateur band frequencies, as shown below. For information on amateur band

frequencies see Table 39 on page 336.

The F2 and F3 keys on the keypad can now be used as left/right scroll keys, as

indicated on the Free Tune screen.

NOTE

Press F3 repeatedly to insert a decimal point and enable the

frequency to be tuned to two decimal places (0.01 kHz).
