Note: Both Contaminated Message Latch Time and Clean Message Latch Time
are forced to zero if both Hot & Cold side barriers are installed (see Extend
Occupied Time below).
Position Reset Time: If an occupant moves out of position during monitoring, the
Position Reset Time is the time allowed to reposition and reactivate all sensors
(resuming the countdown) before the countdown timer is reset to the full time. The
default is 3 s.
Repeat Voice Message Time: This sets the time delay between the start of a voice
message and the repeat of that message, if the appropriate action is not taken, such as
moving into the correct position. The default is 3 s.
Alarm Test Result Latch Time: The Clean and Contaminated messages in Alarm
Test mode (see on page 69) are held for this time. The maximum value is 10 s; the
default is 2 s.
Not Complete Message Repeat Time/Not Complete Message Repeats: If the
occupant leaves the monitor before the monitoring cycle is properly completed, a
“Monitoring not complete, please re-monitor!” warning is given. The Not Complete
Message Repeat Time is the delay between messages. The default is 2 s and the
maximum value is 10 s. The Not Complete Message Repeats is the number of times
the warning is repeated before the unit clears and returns to normal operation (default
is 1 repeat; maximum value is 5).
Delay Before Position Message: This delay allows occupants to position themselves
in the monitor without receiving the position instructions. This can reduce the noise
level when most occupants already know how to use the monitor. The default is 1.5
seconds.
Extend Count Time: This specifies the additional monitoring time used in the event
of potential contamination (i.e. for count rates above the ATP and below the CTP).
For more details, see discussion in F1 – Common Values screen on page 103 under
Line Item Extend Count If Contaminated. The default is 10 seconds.
Maximum Not In Position Time: This sets the maximum time permitted from
activation of the first position sensor until all sensors must be activated. After this
time, the “Go Back” screen is displayed and the voice message “Please Go Back” is
repeated until all position sensors clear. The default is 30 s.
Maximum Time Between Background Updates: This sets the maximum time
permitted between background updates, which are usually performed when the
monitor is not in use. If continuous monitoring causes this time to be exceeded, then
Ready mode and Position mode are pre-empted to permit “Initialize Background” to
be performed. A person already monitoring in Monitoring mode is allowed to finish.
Range 60 s to 3600 s, default 900 s (15 minutes).
