Chapter 5 Parameters Definition

Maximum Wait for Occupant Range is 3 to 30s; default 10s. Used when Badge
(Scanned or Inserted) is used to control Hot Side Barrier. This is the time given
occupant after scanning (inserting) badge before cancelling access, closing barrier
and returning to background collection. It is the time the monitor waits after an
access signal has opened barrier before closing barrier and resuming normal
operation. This will trigger the Go Back / Remove Badge sequence if badge is
inserted instead of attempting to close Hot side barrier and return to background
collecting (slowly drifting Mirion Technologies (Canberra CA) Ltd. logo screen
(see F4 Access Configuration, Contaminated Go Back Option on page 28).
Maximum Wait for Hot Side Barrier Open: If there is a Opened Terminal assigned
on Access Configuration screen then this (default 10s) will cause a timeout fault,
Otherwise the Barrier is assumed opened after this (default 5 s) time elapses. Range
is 0.125 s to 90 s.
Maximum Wait for Hot Side Barrier Close: If there is a Closed Terminal assigned
on F4 – Access Configuration screen then this (default 10 s) will cause a timeout
fault, Otherwise the Barrier is assumed closed after this (default 5 s) time elapses.
Range is 0.125 s to 90 s.
Maximum Wait for Cold Side Barrier Open: If there is a Opened Terminal
assigned on Access Configuration screen then this (default 10s) will cause a timeout
fault, Otherwise the Barrier is assumed opened after this (default 5 s) time elapses.
Range is 0.125 s to 90 s.
Maximum Wait for Cold Side Barrier Close: If there is a Closed Terminal
assigned on F4 Access Configuration then this (default 10 s) will cause a timeout
fault, Otherwise the Barrier is assumed closed after this (default 5 s) time elapses.
Range is 0.125 s to 90 s.
Extend Occupied Time: Used when Hot & Cold Side barriers are present to allow
time between occupant leaving and barriers closing. Range is 0 to 10 s, default 0 s.
This time is applied when occupant is expected to leave the monitor to allow time to
do so before barrier closes.
Extend Manual Stop Time: Used when Hot & Cold Side barriers are present to
allow time between Manual Stop switch being released and barriers closing. Also
needs terminal applied to Manual Stop function on Access Configuration. Range is
0 to 10 s, default 2 s. This time is applied after the manual stop is released to give
occupant time to leave before barrier closes.
Wait for Auto Barrier Reset: When monitor has gone Out of Service due to a
motor control fault, then after this time has elapsed the monitor attempts to reset the
motor control and if successful returns to service. Range is 10 to 3600 s, default 30 s.
Also requires F4 Out of Service Causes screen to have: Cold Side Barrier Failed
to Close, Cold Side Barrier Failed to Open, Hot Side Barrier Failed to Close and
Hot Side Barrier Failed to Open all set to “AUTO”.
