Monitor Steps: Choices are “One-Step”, “Two-Step”, and “Walk-Through”. In
“One-Step” mode (default) the occupant stands in the center of the monitor for the
counting period. “Two-Step” mode requires the occupant to position the body close
to one bank of detectors (sensor side) for the first counting period, turn around, and
repeat the countdown in the second position. “Walk-Through” mode is similar to
“One-Step” mode with several default settings modified automatically to limit the
monitoring time to approximately the time required for a person to walk through the
unit. The following settings change automatically when “Walk-Through” mode is
selected:
• The Minimum Monitor Time setting on the F2 – Wait Timeouts screen
range changes from 0.125 - 99 s to 0.125 - 1 s with a default value of 0.125 s.
• The Maximum Monitor Time setting on the F2 – Wait Timeouts screen
range changes from 0.125 - 99 s to 0.125 - 1 s with a default value of 0.25 s.
• The Contaminated Message Latch Time setting on the F2 – Wait Timeouts
screen default changes from 2 s to 0 s.
• The Clean Message Latch Time setting on the F2 – Wait Timeouts screen
default changes from 1 s to 0 s.
• The Extend Count If Contaminated setting on the F1 – Common Values
screen is disabled.
• Countdown screen does not draw digits when count time is less than 1 s.
• Body position sensors are ignored once monitoring commences; counting
will finish and give a clean or contaminated decision even if the occupant has
left.
