Chapter 7 Retrieving Information

The units used for reporting count rate, activity, and emission rate are included in the
column headings. They are set in the F1 – Common Values screen.
The third section of the printout, under the sub-heading Gamma Statistics, pertains to
statistics related to the Gamma detectors.
Contamination Check Results historically printed the result of last count from its
internal memory of the last monitoring sequence. However this sometimes caused
the memory to be cleared when another occupant started to position themselves (or an
object is placed in a Cronos chamber) for monitoring. The only result for last count
done was therefore accessible (usually position 2 or detector contamination check
(position 3)). In order to improve this two features exist:
• This screen builds a list of results that were automatically saved in the
D:\MonitorProgram\DATALOG folder (RESULT 20101217023804 P2
C.TXT ) as per the Auto Save Occupant Check Results setting on the
F8 – Printout screen.
• The newest result will be displayed first.
• F5 will select previous contaminated result (if any). Ctrl+F5 will select
the oldest contaminated result.
• F6 will select next contaminated result (if any). Ctrl+F6 will select the
newest contaminated result.
• F9 will select previous result (if any). Ctrl+F9 will select the oldest
result.
• F10 will select next result (if any). Ctrl+F10 will select the newest
result.
• Instructions for these keys will be in a third title line at top of screen
• While looking at a contaminated result “Contaminated Result [* of
#] F5=Previous F6=Next” is shown in red
• While looking at a clean result “Contaminated Results [#]
F5=Previous F6=Next” is shown in red
• While looking at any result “Result [* of #] F9=Previous F10=Next”
is shown in white (*=current result, #=total available results)
• If there is no previous then “F5=Previous” and “F9=Previous” are
hidden.
• If there is no next then “F6=Next” and “F10=Next” are hidden.
• If no results are found in the D:\MonitorProgram\DATALOG folder then F9
& F10 keys can select between the three internal results.
• Reasons for no results in D:\MonitorProgram\DATALOG are:
• an occupant has not been monitored yet,
