During monitoring, the unit continuously checks for correct body, hand(s), head
(where applicable) and foot positions. If a sensor is deactivated during monitoring,
the display indicates the location of the sensor, and this is reinforced with a spoken
message, for example “Lean Closer”.
If the occupant repositions within the Position Reset Time as set in the F2 – Wait
Timeouts screen, the count resumes without extending the count time. Otherwise the
monitor returns to Position mode, prompting for correct body position, and the count
time is reset to a full count down.
If the occupant steps off the unit before the completion of a full monitor cycle, the
warning “Not Complete” is displayed and “Monitoring not complete, please re-
monitor” is annunciated. This message is repeated several times, depending on the
Not Complete Message Repeats setting in the F2 – Wait Timeouts screen. The unit
will not go to Background Update or Position mode (for another occupant) until the
condition clears.
A tally of Clean and Contaminated results is kept in the Monitor History database.
This file also provides a breakout of clean and contaminated results for each detection
zone individually. This information can be displayed on the screen, saved to a text
file or printed directly to a printer (see F1 – Monitor History Printout in the F6 –
Printout Menu).
In addition, an F5 – Contamination Check Results Printout RESULT….TXT file,
which includes count rates and alarm set point data for all zones, is saved in the
D:\MonitorProgram\DATALOG\ directory. This report provides all the data
necessary to manually analyze and verify the results. These Results files are stored
for a period established in the F6 – Printout screen and then they are erased.
