8. Press the FREEZE key ( ) to enable signal acquisition.
9. Place the probe in a defect-free area near the support ring, and then press the
NULL foot switch.
10. Scan the support ring to verify that the signal is below 80 % full-screen height
after the angle adjustment for the 1.3 mm (0.052 in.) thru-wall hole.
To record and cancel the support signal using AUTO MIX
1. Press the DISP menu key ( ), followed by CHANNEL (B key), and then rotate
the knob until the MIX menu is displayed.
2. Press the MAIN FILTER menu key ( ) three times.
3. Place the probe in a defect-free area near the tube’s support ring, and then press
the NULL foot switch.
4. Press AUTO MIX (B key), and slowly scan the support ring.
The AUTO MIX function is automatic and records the signal for 5 seconds after
AUTO MIX (B key) has been pressed.
5. Verify that AUTO MIX has acquired the support ring signal:
