Basic operation
After paper feed begins, depending on the rise of edge temperature (Pressure roller thermistor
(Full-bleed edge/Edge)), the shield is moved to a suitable position. The shield has 9 positions
including the home position.
Depending on the unit temperature and continuous paper feed time, the edge heater is switched
ON/OFF, and the shielding is adjusted.
Shield drive
The shield is driven by a Fusing shield drive motor on the machine.
