Rear Shock Absorber
Adjusting Spring Pre-tightening Force
●Remove the rear shock absorber f
rom the frame (see
“Disassembling Rear Shock Absorber”).
●Loosen the lock nut [B], rotate the adjusting nut [A] and
loosen the spring.
Special ToolHook Wrench:
●Adjust the spring pre-
tightening force, rotate the
adjusting nut [B] to the suitable positi
on and tighten the
lock nut [A].
Spring length [C]
Pre-tightening Force Setting of Spring
Standard: spring length of 141mm
Applicable scope: allowable deformation of 48.2 and
maximum deformation of 60.2
○Standard adjusting nut setting for riders with normal
stature [weight of 68kg (150lb)] (without passengers or
accessories): the spring length is 136mm.
