Oil Level Sensor
Disassemble Oil Level Sensor
Disassemble:
Fuel tank guard (see “Frame” Disassembling Fuel
Tank Guard)
Remove:
Bolt [A]
Oil level sensor [B]
Checking Oil Level Sensor
Check whether the fuel sensor floater moves
smoothly without clamping stagnation. It shall move
down under the effect of its own gravity
I
f the floater cannot move smoothly, replace the
sensor
When the floater is full [A]
When the floater is empty [B]
Floater arm stopper [C]
Use the handheld multimeter [A] to measure the
resistance around the oil level sensor plug-
in [B]
terminal
Special ToolHandheld Multimeter:
Pointer Adapter Device:
If the multimeter reading does not meet the
specifications or the reading does not change smoothly
with the up and down movement of float block, replace
the sensor
Oil Level Sensor Resistance
Standard: Full oil level [C]: 5-9Ω
Empty oil level: 90-96Ω
