●Inspection of bond strap circuit of starter relay
Remove starter relay connector.
Check the continuity between black wire connector
terminal and bond strap of body.
Ensure tha
t the continuity between black wire
connector terminal and bond strap of body is good after
start button is pressed.
When it is nonconductive, check the continuity and
wire of start button.
●Operation Inspection
Connect the starter relay to the battery and connect the
terminal of starter motor to multimeter.
Connect the fully charged battery between the black
and green/yellow wires of the relay. At this point, “Da”
sound is made in the relay and the resistance indication
of multimeter is “zero”.
●Connect the multimeter and 12V battery to the starter
relay, as shown in the figure
●If the relay does not work as specified, there is a fault
in the relay and it needs to be replaced
Testing Relay
Range of tester: × 1Ω range
Standard: when battery is connected→ 0Ω
When the battery is disconnected→ ∞Ω
Installing Starter Relay
●
It should be conducted in the reverse order of
disassembly.
Tightening torque of terminal nut of starter relay:
8 N·m
