Checking Dynamic Balance
●
Disassemble front and rear wheels (see
“Disassembling Front / Rear Wheel”).
●Support the wheel so that the wheel can rotate
smoothly.
● Rotate the wheel gently and make a mark [A] at th
e
hi
ghest point when the wheel stops.
○ Repeat the above steps for several times. If the
w
heels stop rotating at differe
automatically, it shows that the balance is good.
★
If the wheels always stop at the same position,
adjust the balance of wheels (see “Adjusting Balance”
for details).
Adjusting Dynamic Balance
●If the wheels always stop in the same position,
temporarily paste the grip end [A] at the marked edge
using a tape.
●
R
otate the wheel by 1/4 turn [B] to check whether the
wheel stops at this position. If the wheel stops at this
position, it means that the grip end used is just proper.
★
If the grip end moves upwards as the wheel rotates,
replace it with a heavier grip end. If the counterweight
moves downwards as the wheel rotates, replace it with
a lighter grip end. Repeat the above steps until the
wheel remains stationary after rotating by 1/4 turn.
●Rotate the wheels by 1/4 turn each time to check
whether the balance of wheels has been adjusted.
●Repeat the adjustment process as many times as
necessary until the balance of the wheels becomes
normal.
●Permanently install the grip end.
Disassembling Grip End
●As shown in the figure, insert two ordinary straight
screwdrivers [A] and [B] between the rim [C] and grip
end [D].
●Pull out the grip end using these two screwdrivers.
●Discard the old grip end.
Note
Do not hit the screwdriver, otherwise the rim
may be damaged.
