Checking the Damper of Shaft Sleeve
●Remove the shaft sleeve of rear wheel and check the
rubber damper [A].
●If the damper is damaged or corroded, please repl
ace
it!
Checking the Wear of Sprocket
●Visually check the wear of engine and rear sprocket.
★
If the wear of sprocket teeth is as shown in the
figure, please replace the sprocket and check the wear
of drive chain (see “Regular Maintenance”—“Checking
the Wear of Drive Chain”).

○If it needs to replace sprocket, drive chain may
need to be replaced. Therefore, it is required to check
drive chain when replacing sprocket.
Checking the Deformation of Rear Sprocket
●
Lift the rear wheel from the grounding using a
bracket, so that it can rotate smoothly.
●As shown in the figure, place a dial indicator [A]
near the gear teeth of the rear sprocket. Turn the rear
wheel and measure the oscillation (deformation) of
spr
ocket. The difference between the maximum and
minimum readings of the dial indicator is the
oscillation (deformation) of the sprocket.
★If the wheel axle oscillation exceeds the lower use
limit, please replace the rear sprocket!
