files (*.csv), Log files (*.log), Text files (*.txt) and BMP files (*.bmp) and to
determine how to organize them by a unique name. Note that UNICODE files are
sent to CHistory.
Note: If a particular file to be transferred is not found in the local monitor’s
DATALOG folder, it is not transferred.
Append Unique Name with choices of “None”, “Computer Name” (default), “Serial
Number”, and “Monitor ID Location ID”. The choice selection is appended to the
Remote Folder Name when a Mapped Drive is used (see above) so that each
monitor stores its files in a unique folder. The “Computer Name” choice is intended
for use with CRemote. This is included with the status packet sent to CRemote so it
can use the same unique folder name. Note that Status packets sent to CRemote,
CMonitor use UNICODE encoding for Monitor ID, Location ID, etc.
Data Log files (*.csv): Choices are “No” and “Append” (default). Select “Append”
to append the Data Log files from the DATALOG directory to the corresponding files
on the mapped drive. After successful transfer, the *.CSV files are sent to the
Windows Recycle Bin from the DATALOG directory so that the same information is
not transferred next time. The contamination monitor maintains up to nine Data Log
(*.CSV) files as configured in the F7 – Data Log screen. Only seven of these apply
to the GEM-5.
LOG files: Choices are “No”, “Move” and “Copy” (default). Select “Copy” to copy
the Log files (MAINTAIN.LOG , RECENT.LOG and ERROR.LOG) from the
DATALOG directory to the corresponding files on the mapped drive, overwriting the
previous version if it exists. These files are not deleted from the local drive.
Selecting “Move” will cause the files to be deleted after being successfully copied.
The Maintenance Log (MAINTAIN.LOG) is described on page 233.
TEXT files: Choices are “No”, “Copy” and “Move” (default). Select “Move” to
copy all text files (*.TXT) from the DATALOG directory to the mapped drive,
overwriting the previous version if it exists. After successful transfer all *.TXT files
are sent to the Windows Recycle Bin from the DATALOG directory so that the same
information is not transferred next time. Select “Copy” if the files should not be
deleted. Text files comprises all the reports described F6 – Printout Menu starting on
page 253. To ensure that they contain the most recent information, text files are
created automatically under the following circumstances if set to “Yes” in the
F8 – Printout screen starting on page 169.
• Calibration Printout (CALIB.TXT) and Calibration Data Printout
(CAL_DATA.TXT) files are created when a calibration change is detected on
leaving the Calibration screen.
• Calibration Source List Printout (CAL_LIST.TXT) is created when a change
is detected on leaving the Edit Calibration Source List screen.
• All Setup Values Printout (SETUP.TXT), which reports all system
configuration values other than detector calibrations (see previous two items),
is created when leaving the Service Menu to return to normal service.
