The 7360 ISAM WM can be equipped with a maximum of 12 line cards, 2 power
cards, and 1 controller card.
23.3 Dummy front panels
Dummy front panels must be installed in any unused slot of a shelf to:
• ensure EMC compliance
• ensure thermal compliance through correct airflow in the shelf
• ensure safety by avoiding direct contact with backplane connectors
At slot deployment, the dummy front panel is replaced by the appropriate card and
the optical cables are connected to the card.
