Loosen the mounting bolt [A] of upper bracket [B]
(Loosen)
Remove the upper bracket [B]
●Remove the steering column lock nut [E].
Special Tools—
steering column nut wrench: four
jaws
●Adjust the steering column gland nut [F].
★
Tighten the steering column gland nu
torque of 30-35N·m
Special Tools—
steering column nut wrench: seven
jaws
★Rotate the steering column left and right for twice to
three times; it cannot be stuck and the bearing race
cannot be loose during rotating;
★Unscrew the gland nut [E] for 1/4 circle, then tighten
it and use the relevant wrench to fasten the gland nut
[F];
★
Tighten the steering column gland nut [F] to the
torque of 20-24N·m
●Install the steering column lock nut [E].
Special Tools—
steering column nut wrench: four
jaws
★Fasten the lock nut [E] to the torque below: 60N·m
Do not fasten the lock nut [E] excessively
●Check the tightness of steering seat:
★
Make sure that the support is not loose and rotate the
front fork left and right to the end of travel to ensure
that there is no block point. If there is any block point,
remove the lower bracket
upper and lower steering bearings.
●Install the upper bracket.
●Install the steering column head.
●Install the steering column head bolt.
●Install the handlebar.
●Tightening:
Tightening torque of steering column head nut: 78
N·m
Tightening torque of upper bracket mounting bolt
- 80 -
