Maintaining the Air Filters in a QFX3008-I Interconnect Device
To maintain the air filters in a QFX3008-I Interconnect device.
Check the air filters regularly for dust and debris. Replace the filter elements as needed.
The filter elements degrade over time, so the filter elements in use, as well as spares,
should be replaced every 6 months.
Use spare filter elements within 1 year of manufacture. Check for the date of
manufacture printed on the filter.
Store spare filter elements in a dark, cool, and dry place. Storing the filter elements at
higher temperatures, or where they can be exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation,
hydrocarbon emissions, or vapors from solvents can significantly reduce their life.
CAUTION: Always keep the air filters in place while the device is operating.
Because the fans are very powerful, they could pull small bits of wire or other
materials into the device through the unfiltered air intake. This could damage
device components.
