37.1 Care and Cleaning Introduction
In this chapter we describe how to clean and disinfect the equipment.
37.2 Care and Cleaning Safety Information
• Use only Mindray approved cleaners and disinfectants and methods listed in this chapter to clean or
disinfect your equipment. Warranty does not cover damage caused by unapproved substances or
methods.
• We make no claims regarding the efficacy of the listed chemicals or methods as a means for
controlling infection. For the method to control infection, consult your hospital’s infection control
officer or epidemiologist.
• The responsible hospital or institution shall carry out all cleaning and disinfection procedures
specified in this chapter.
• Never immerse any part of the equipment or accessories in liquids or allow liquid to enter the
interior.
• Do not pour or spray any liquid directly on the equipment or accessories or permit fluid to seep into
connections or openings.
• If you spill liquid on the equipment or accessories, disconnect the power supply, dry the equipment,
and contact your service personnel.
• Do not mix disinfecting solutions, such as bleach and ammonia, as hazardous gases may result.
• Check the equipment after cleaning and disinfecting. If there is any sign of damage, remove it from
use.
