■ For the parameters controlled by the external device, the settings are enclosed in parenthesis after
parameter labels.
■ For the parameters measured and controlled by the external device, measurements and settings are
displayed after parameter labels, and settings are also enclosed in parenthesis. For example, PEEP 18 (20), in
which PEEP is parameter label, 18 is the measurement, and (20) is the setting.
8.7 Monitor System Functions
This section describes the monitor system function when external devices are connected.
8.7.1 Alarms
The monitor does not display realtime alarms from external devices. However, you can view the current alarm list
of corresponding device by selecting Alarm from the individual device window. The alarm priority is defined by
“*” before each alarm message. An alarm list can display up to 100 alarm messages.
8.7.2 Data Storage
The monitor saves parameters trends and alarm events from external devices. You can review these data in the
Graphic Trends menu and Events menu, parameters from external devices are displayed in white.
• Parameters from external devices are saved and displayed according to the time of the monitor.
8.7.3 Recording and Printing
You can record and print Information from external devices both in realtime and in graphic and tabular trends
from the monitor. Besides, the monitor can also record the frozen parameters of the external device.
