4.4 Transferring Patient Data
You can transfer a patient with a BeneView T1 (hereafter referred to T1 ) to another monitor without re-entering
the patient demographic information or changing the settings. Transferring of patient data enables you to
understand the patient’s history condition. The patient data that can be transferred includes: patient
demographics, trend data, alarm events and parameters alarm limits. You can also transfer patient demographic
information, such as patient ID, height, weight, etc. with the MPM.
WARNING
• Do not discharge a patient before the patient is successfully transferred.
• After a patient is successfully transferred, check if the patient settings (especially patient category,
paced status, alarm limits settings, and etc) on the monitor are appropriate for this patient.
NOTE
• The system automatically switches on the HR alarm and lethal arrhythmia alarm after transferring
the patient data.
4.4.1 Data Storage Introduction
Familiarizing yourself with the data respectively stored in the patient monitor, T1 or MPM helps you understand
the effects incurred by transferring patients with an MPM or T1.
4.4.2 Setting the Data Transfer Strategy
When T1or MPMis connected to the the monitor, T1 or MPM automatically uploads the data to the monitor if the
patient demographic information in the monitor are consistent with those of in T1 or MPM. However, the
monitor needs a data transfer strategy if the patient demographic information in the monitor are not consistent
with those of in the T1/MPM. To set the data transfer strategy, follow this procedure:
1. Select the Main Menu quick key → turn to the third page → from the System column select Maintenance
→ input the required password → select Ok.
2. Select the Patient Management tab → select the Transfer tab.
3. Select Data Transfer Strategy.
