Step 4 Setting Verification Conditions
You can register a character string from a 2D code to use it to verify that the character string that was read from
a 2D code matches the registered character string. You can register up to 32 character strings for verification in
the master data. You can verify the character string in the inspection against up to 32 character strings that are
registered in the master data.
The verification result is saved in an external reference parameter, so you can use a communications
command to output it to an external device.

1 Press [Verification].
2 Press [Master data regist.].
3 Press the character string to register in the master data.
4 You can use any of the following three methods
to register character strings in the master data
from the menu display.
[Auto]: Registers a character string from an actual 2D code in the master data. The procedure
is essentially the same as the procedure for teaching in step 2.
[Manual]: A character string is entered directly in the master data.
Select this menu when making a change to the master data registered using [Auto]
menu.
You can use a software keyboard to register a character string with up to 32 characters.
Check the table of ASCII characters to see what characters can be registered. You cannot enter
two-byte characters, one-byte Kana characters, and control codes. You can use the following
characters as wildcards.
*: A wildcard for a character string of 0 or more characters
?: A wildcard for one character
