Parameter Setting Description
Noise level
Sensors with Color Cameras Only
Range: 0 to 442
Default: 5
(Sensors with Monochrome Cam-
eras only)
Range: 0 to 255
Default: 5
Sets the density level to be considered as noise.
If the difference between the maximum and minimum color
changes in the region is below the noise level, it will be
assumed that there is no edge.
Increase this value if noise is incorrectly detected as an edge.
If you change the noise level, perform teaching again.
Noise threshold
The maximum and minimum color deviations and densities within the edge detection region are determined.
If the difference is less than the noise threshold, it is assumed that there are no edges. Normally there is no
problem with the Default value of 10, but if noise is mistakenly detected as an edge, make this value higher.
• Sensors with Color Camera
Within the Region
Max. color change − Min. color change < Noise threshold → No edge found → Measurement result: NG
Max. color change − Min. color change ≥ Noise threshold → Edge found → Perform measurement
• Sensors with Monochrome Cameras
Max. density change − Min. density change < Noise threshold → No edge found → Measurement result:
NG
Max. density change − Min. density change − Noise threshold → Edge found → Perform measurement
Note
Judges that there is an edge and performs measurements.
Judges that there is no edge (measurement result is NG).
