(4) Open the front cover and set the stop bar in position.
WARNING! When working with the front cover open, make sure that the stop bar
is in place to avoid accidental closure.
(5) Loosen the thumbscrew and open the RBC detector cover. Make sure that the
sample has been drained. See Figures 5-7-15 and 5-7-16.

(6) Prepare a gauze or lint-free tissue to absorb any reagent from the transducer chamber.
Remove the plug to access the transducer aperture (Figure 5-7-17).
