CONDITION MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMIT
Broken wires on the hose braid Three broken wires on each hose braid are permitted. Six
broken wires on each linear foot of the hose are permitted.
If it is necessary, replace the hose.
Crimps Not permitted. Replace the hose.
Internal blockage Not permitted. Remove the blockage. If it is necessary,
replace the hose.
Cuts, tears, and chafs on the fire sleeves Permitted, if the depth of the damage is less than 1/2 of the
sleave thickness. If it is necessary, replace the fire sleeve.
Leakage Not permitted. Replace the tube.

(7) Examine the tube fittings for the condition that follows:
CONDITION MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMIT
Looseness Not permitted. Use spanner wrench set, SPL-6936 to
tighten the tube fitting.
E. Visual Inspection of the Engine Brackets and Clamps

(1) Examine the cushion clamps for the conditions that follow:
CONDITION MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMIT
Cracks Permitted, if the clamp is not broken. If it is necessary,
replace the clamp.
Signs or wear on the cushion Permitted, if the clamp holds the tube tightly. If it is
necessary, replace the clamp.

(2) Examine the coupling (V-band) clamps for the conditions that follow:
CONDITION MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMIT
Cracks Permitted, if the clamp is not broken. If it is necessary,
replace the clamp.
ABX 001-007, 011, 012, 016-019, 021, 022, 025, 314-999
Dents and nicks on the stap and the retainer Permitted, if the tube is not damaged. If it is necessary,
replace the clamp.
ABX 001-007, 011, 012, 016-019, 021, 022, 025, 101, 109, 114, 115, 314-999
Damage to the T-bolt and the shank Permitted, if the clamp can be put togethor to hold the tube
tightly. If it is necessary, replace the clamp.
Damage to the nut threads Not permitted. Replace the nut.
Looseness Not permitted. Tighten or replace the clamp.

(3) Examine the brackets for the conditions that follow:
