SUBTASK 72-31-00-975-053-G00
(1) Make a Three Try Graph on polar graph paper as follows (Figure 510):
(a) Make a circle that has a radius (in mils) the length of the initial imbalance Uo.
(b) Make an arc to show U1.
1) Put the center of the arc at the 0 degree position on the circle.
2) The length of the arc radius (in mils) is equal to U1.
(c) Make an arc to show U2.
1) Put the center of the arc at the 123 degree position on the circle.
2) The length of the arc radius (in mils) is equal to U2.
(d) Make an arc to show U3.
1) Put the center of the arc at the 246 degree position on the circle.
2) The length of the arc radius (in mils) is equal to U3.
(e) Find the point where the three arcs intersect.
1) If the three arcs do not intersect, make a point at the center of the area contained by
the three arcs.
2) If the center of the area cannot be found, increase the weight of WT by 50 percent
and repeat the procedure.
(f) Make a line from the center of the initial circle to the point where the three arcs intersect.
This line is R1.
1) Measure and make a record of the length of R1.
