A. This procedure gives instructions for the tasks that follow:
(1) Remove the No. 1 Bearing Manifold
(2) Install the No. 1 Bearing Manifold
(3) Examine the No. 1 Bearing Manifold
(4) Examine and Clean the Fan Midshaft
(5) Examine the First Stage Disk

SUBTASK 72-31-00-012-002-G00
(1) Remove the fan rotor spinner (PAGEBLOCK 72-31-01/401).
NOTE: Do not loosen the balance weight screws in the spinner cone.
SUBTASK 72-31-00-032-003-G00
(2) Remove the bolts that hold the No. 1 bearing manifold.
SUBTASK 72-31-00-022-004-G00
(3) Use the puller, SPL-4783 to remove the No. 1 bearing manifold.
(a) Discard the packings.
