FAN ROTOR BLADES - REPAIRS
1. General
A. This procedure has four tasks: Repair the Fan Blades, Replace and Balance a Fan Rotor Blade Set,
Repair the Fan Case Shroud, and RTV Sealant Repair.

2. Repair the Fan Rotor Blades

A. General
(1) You will blend the edges (or surfaces) of the fan rotor blades to do the repair. You can blend
the blades with a high quality file, an abrasive cloth, or an abrasive stone. You can blend with a
slow speed power tool if a large amount of material needs to be removed.
You can do the blend repair on removed blades or while the blades are still on the engine.

CAUTION
MAKE SURE THAT OBJECTS DO NOT FALL THROUGH THE OPEN VALVES
INTO THE ENGINE. DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
(1) If it is necessary, remove the blade or blades that need repair (PAGEBLOCK 72-31-02/401).
