(c) Put the fiberglass cloth (two total) on each adhesive area.
(d) Apply silicone adhesive to the fiberglass cloth and to the splice area of the cut chevron
seal.
1) The surface of the adhesive must have a smooth contour.
2) The adhesive must be at the same level as the seating surface of the chevron seal.

(3) Do these steps to install the replacement chevron seal:
(a) Put the replacement chevron seal into the splice area.
(b) Use a clean dry cloth to wipe the adhesive that is not needed.
(c) Let the repair area dry for 24 hours.
1) Do not touch the repair area during this time.
