D. Procedure
SUBTASK 72-33-03-212-024-G00
(1) Visually examine all the surfaces of the OGV's for the conditions that follow:
Condition Maximum Serviceable Limits
Cracks Not permitted, replace the OGV. See the Continue-In-Operation Limits (Ref 72-00-00)
and the Fan Outlet Guide Vane Cracks - Checks (Ref 72-00-00).
Missing Paint Permitted.

(2) Visually examine the airfoil surfaces for the conditions that follow:
NOTE: There must be more than 1.0 inch (25.4mm) between defects. No back-to-back
defects are permitted.
Condition Maximum Serviceable Limits
Nicks, Scratches and Gouges Permitted, if less than 0.04 inch (1.0 mm) in depth. No sharp grooves are
permitted. To repair, blend to a radius at least four times the depth. The maximum
depth must not be more than 70 percent of the airfoil thickness. Do the etch and
fluorescent-penetrant inspection (PAGEBLOCK 70-11-06/201). Apply a layer of
alodine.
Dents Permitted, if they are smooth, and less than 0.07 inch (1.8 mm) in depth.

(3) Visually examine the airfoil fillet for the conditions that follow:

Signs of wear from the fairings Must be less than 0.035 inch (0.89 mm) in depth. A knife edge is not permitted on
the leading and trailing edges. The leading edge minimum radius must be 0.020
inch (0.51 mm). The trailing edge minimum radius must be 0.010 inch (0.25 mm).

(4) Examine the fit of the inner sleeve for the conditions that follow:

Play in the axial direction Permitted, if the play is so small, it is not measurable. If the play is less than
0.100 inch (2.54 mm), repair as follows: clean the inner sleeve and the OGV.
Apply the RTV 103 adhesive, A50119 in the empty space until there is no more
play. Make the remaining sealant smooth.

(5) Visually examine the fairings for the conditions that follow:
Condition Maximum Serviceable Limits
Cracks in the in side edges Must not be more than 0.06 inch (1.5mm) length. Replace the fairing.
Loose Inserts Permitted.
