(e) Use tape to attach the wires to the drain pipes at the bottom of the accessory
compartment.
CAUTION
MAKE SURE THE LOUVERED EXHAUST DOOR IS OPEN SO THE
WIRES ARE NOT HELD TOO TIGHTLY WHEN YOU CLOSE THE THRUST
REVERSER.
(f) Put the wires through the open louvered exhaust door.
(g) Make sure the wires hang freely through the louvered exhaust door.

WARNING
OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO CLOSE THE THRUST
REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO
PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
WARNING
REMOVE ALL TOOLS AND OTHER OBJECTS FROM THE INLET COWL,
STRUT, OR ENGINE. LOOSE OBJECTS WILL COME THROUGH THE ENGINE
AT HIGH SPEED WHEN IT OPERATES. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO
PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(6) Close the thrust reversers (PAGEBLOCK 78-31-00/201).

(7) Close the core cowl panels (PAGEBLOCK 71-11-06/201).

(8) Close the fan cowl panels (PAGEBLOCK 71-11-04/201).
G. Operate the Engine

WARNING
USE AMM 71-00-00/201 TO OPERATE THE POWER PLANT. IF YOU DO NOT
USE THIS PROCEDURE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND
INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1) Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to start the engine
(PAGEBLOCK 71-00-00/201).

CAUTION
DO NOT INCREASE THE SPEED OF THE ENGINE TO MORE THAN TAKEOFF
POWER FOR THE CURRENT CONDITIONS. DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN
OCCUR.
(2) Monitor the vibration amplitude as shown on the trim balance analyzer while the engine is
accelerated.
NOTE: If the OVERLOAD lamp comes on, change the analyzer to show a higher display
range.
(a) If the vibration amplitude is more than 8-10 mils, let the engine become stable for 60
seconds at the nearest of the following N1 settings (Figure 504):
3200 rpm (93.2%) or
