(c) Use the keensert installation tool, COM-3779 to install the insert to the depth the keys (or
the knurled end of the insert) permit.
(d) Make sure that the top surface of the insert is below the surface of the adjacent metal.
(e) If the insert is not below the metal surface, do the steps that follow to increase the hole
depth:
1) Remove the insert.
2) Countersink the hole to permit one more half turn of the insert.
3) If it is necessary (and the metal has the sufficient thickness) you can broach new
key slots that are 90 degrees from the initial key slots.
4) Do again the steps to install the insert.
(f) Use the keensert installation tool, COM-3779 and an 8 ounce ball-peen hammer to push
the insert fully into the hole.

(6) Close the core cowl panels (PAGEBLOCK 71-11-06/201).
