(2) Deposits of oil on the trailing edge of the fan blade
(a) Amounts that are more than light discoloration are not permitted.
1) For light or heavy deposits of oil, clean the fan blades
(TASK 72-00-00-117-001-G00).
2) For heavy deposits of oil, replace the No. 1 bearing manifold preformed packings
(TASK 72-31-02-004-034-G00 and TASK 72-31-02-404-008-G00).

(3) If the blade is not serviceable, do the procedure for Fan Rotor Blades - Repairs
(TASK 72-31-02-308-029-G00) when possible.
(a) If the blade cannot be repaired, you must replace the blade
(TASK 72-31-02-004-034-G00 and TASK 72-31-02-404-008-G00).

(4) Examine the second, third and fourth stage blades for the conditions that follow:
(a) Cracks and tears are not permitted.
(b) Nicks and dents on the airfoil center panel are permitted if the conditions that follow are
found:
1) The damage does not form a line across the blade.
2) The damage is more than 0.20 inch (5.1 m) from the leading or trailing edge.
3) The damage is not all the way through the blade.
4) The damage is less than 0.15 inch (3.8 m) in diameter.
(c) Nicks and dents on the leading and trailing edges are permitted if they are less than 0.06
inch (1.52 mm) in depth.
(d) A maximum of six blades on each stage are permitted to have tip curl if the conditions
that follow are found:
1) The blade is not distorted more than 0.35 inch (8.0 mm) from the initial contour.
2) The blades do not engage any other parts during operation.
H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
