CAUTION
DO NOT USE THE ENGINE FOR MORE THAN THE RECOMMENDED LIMIT.
IF TOO MUCH LOAD IS APPLIED TO THE VSV ACTUATION SYSTEM,
DAMAGE TO THE STATOR CASE BORES CAN OCCUR.
(2) The continue-in-operation limits shown below are given for the variable stator vane (VSV)
system.

Lever arm bent more than but not
more than
10 cycles
Lever arm misassembled 10 cycles, if you replace the bent lever arm (PAGEBLOCK 72-35-00/801)
Vane trunnion metal that touches the
case bore metal
The Maximum Limit Extension is 500 hours or 200 cycles after 50 percent of the
vanes in a stage have this damage. If the outer flanged bushing is replaced, this
limit is not applicable.
H. Put the Airplane to its Usual Condition

WARNING
OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO OPEN THE THRUST
REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO
PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(1) Close the thrust reversers (PAGEBLOCK 78-31-00/201).

(2) Close the core cowl panel (PAGEBLOCK 71-11-06/201).

(3) Close the fan cowl panels (PAGEBLOCK 71-11-04/201).

(4) Do the activation procedure for the thrust reverser (PAGEBLOCK 78-31-00/201).
