3. Fan Rotor Blades Inspection
(Figure 602)
NOTE: This procedure is a scheduled maintenance task.
A. General
(1) This task provides the instructions on how to do the inspection of the fan rotor blade.
(2) All the inspection limits in this procedure are the maximum serviceable limits. Some of the
damage that you find can be repaired (PAGEBLOCK 72-31-02/801). If repair is not possible,
the blade must be replaced (PAGEBLOCK 72-31-02/401).

(1) Put the protective mats, STD-6378 (3 required) into the inlet cowl.

(1) Examine the First-Stage Fan Rotor Blades for the conditions that follow:
(a) Cracks or tears caused by usual operation of the fan rotor blades, or by foreign object
damage (FOD) are not permitted.
