1) Dent diameters must be less than 0.50 inch (12.7 mm).
(m) No visible signs of wear that extend through the hard coat are permitted on the mid-span
shroud.
1) Ten percent of the surface can be flaked off.
2) No cracking or crazing is permitted.
(n) The limit for distortion of the leading edge in areas B, C and D (caused by foreign object
damage) is as follows:
NOTE: Use the spot fluorescent - penetrant inspection procedure
(TASK 70-11-06-232-010-G00).
1) Two areas can have distortion (displacement of the leading edge) of 0.50 inch (12.7
mm) from the initial contour if there are no sharp corners and the length of the
distortion is not less than six times the chord width.

(2) Deposits of oil on the trailing edge of the fan blade
(a) Amounts that are more than light discoloration are not permitted.
1) For light or heavy deposits of oil, clean the fan blades
(TASK 72-00-00-117-001-G00).
2) For heavy deposits of oil, replace the No. 1 bearing manifold preformed packings
(TASK 72-31-00-002-001-G00 and TASK 72-31-00-402-005-G00).

(3) If the blade is not serviceable, do the procedure for Fan Rotor Blades - Repairs when possible
(TASK 72-31-02-308-029-G00).
(a) If the blade cannot be repaired, you must replace the blade
(PAGEBLOCK 72-31-02/401).
H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
