(b) Remove the protective cover from the Main Engine Control (MEC) port.
(c) Connect the CDP tube to the MEC.
1) Tighten the CDP tube nut to 270-300 pound-inches (30.5-33.9 newton-meters).
(d) If the anti-ice sensor hose has been disconnected, connect the anti-ice sensor hose as
follows:
1) Remove the standard protection cover from the inlet anti-ice forward sensor hose
port of the inlet anti-ice valve.
2) Connect the inlet anti-ice forward sensor hose to the inlet anti-ice valve port and
tighten the forward sensor hose nut (TASK 30-21-03-404-022).
NOTE: A second wrench must be used to hold the union when you tighten the hose
assembly coupling nut.
(e) Remove the lockwire that holds the VSV feedback lever.
(f) Remove the lockwire that holds the VBV feedback lever.
(g) Connect the VSV feedback cable to the VSV feedback lever with the bolt, washers, and
nut.
1) Tighten the nut to 24-27 pound-inches (2.7-3.1 Newton-meters), while you keep the
cotter pin holes in line.
2) Install a new cotter pin.
(h) Connect the VBV feedback cable to the VBV feedback lever with the bolt, washers, and
nut.
1) Tighten the nut to 24-27 pound-inches (2.7-3.1 Newton-meters), while you keep the
cotter pin holes in line.
2) Install a new cotter pin.

WARNING
OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO CLOSE THE THRUST
REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO
PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(7) Close the thrust reversers (PAGEBLOCK 78-31-00/201).

(8) Close the core cowl panels (PAGEBLOCK 71-11-06/201).

(9) Close the fan cowl panels (PAGEBLOCK 71-11-04/201).

(10) Do the activation procedure for the thrust reverser (PAGEBLOCK 78-31-00/201).
