Corrosion (discoloration) Permitted, if there are no scales or pits.

A maximum of 5 holes are permitted with a minimum 2.0 inches (50.8 mm)
separation between holes. The maximum hole diameter must not be more than
0.50 inch (12.70 mm) and the minimum wall thickness at the hole must not be
less than 0.030 inch (0.76 mm). Blend hole edges to cleanup. Chemically touch
up exposed parent material with yellow zinc phosphate epoxy primer, C50159
[C03-085] application.
Paint that is gone Permitted.

(9) Visually examine the threaded pads, ports and bosses for the conditions that follow:

Damaged threads One full thread (continuous or added together) can be gone, after you chase the threads.
If it is necessary, repair the damaged threads (PAGEBLOCK 72-40-00/801).

Nicks, dents, and scratches Three signs of damage in each 4.0 square inches (25.8 sq cm) are permitted. The
damage must be less than 0.030 inch (0.76 mm) in depth. Scratches must be less
than 1.0 inch (25.4 mm) in length. Blend the damage as close to the initial contour
as it is possible.
