(c) Use the Balance Comparison Form (Figure 805) to compare the total moment weight for
opposite quadrants.
NOTE: Compare quadrant I to quadrant III, and quadrant II to quadrant IV. Do this for the
initial set and the replacement set of blades.
(d) Calculate and make a record of the differences between the total moment weights of
opposite quadrants.
1) The difference must be less than 100 gram-inches.
2) If the difference is greater than 100 gram-inches, do the steps that follow:
a) Change blades that are 180 degrees apart (in opposite quadrants) to make the
difference between quadrants smaller (Figure 805) example.
b) Put a new position identification mark on the changed blades.
c) Make a record of the blades that were changed (Figure 805).

(7) Install the blades (PAGEBLOCK 72-31-02/401).
(a) Make sure you do the test of the fan rotor blades that is shown in the Power-Plant
Test-Reference Table (PAGEBLOCK 71-00-00/501).
