3) Identify the blade with an approved black marker to show the blended area and the
date it was blended.
4) If you see damage that you are not sure about, you must do the fluorescent
penetrant test before you return the blade to service.

(5) If it is necessary, install all the blades that were removed (PAGEBLOCK 72-31-02/401).
(a) Make sure you do the test of the fan rotor blades that is shown in the Power-Plant
Test-Reference Table (PAGEBLOCK 71-00-00/501).
1) If the test shows too much engine vibration, do the trim balance procedure
(PAGEBLOCK 72-31-00/501).
NOTE: The blended blades can have a new moment weight. It can be as much as
two weight classes different (100 gram-inches) from the initial blade. This
will cause engine vibration.
