inch (101.6 mm). The open area is less than 0.5 square inch (322 square
mm).

(b) LPT Aft Casing
CONDITION CONTINUE-IN-OPERATION LIMIT
Radial flange cracks, less than 4 cracks on each flange. Each crack is less
than 0.25 inch (6.35 mm) into the casing.

inch (101.6 mm), and do not go into the flange.

(c) LPT Rotor
CONDITION CONTINUE-IN-OPERATION LIMIT
1st - 4th Stage blade damage from a hit. There is no material that is gone,
and the cracks are less than 50 percent of the chord width (in the outer half
of the blade). The cracks are less than 25 percent of the chord width (in the
inner half of the blade).

(5) The Continue-In-Operation Limits for the Accessory Drive follow:
(a) Accessory Gearbox (AGB)
CONDITION CONTINUE-IN-OPERATION LIMIT
Oil leakage from the magnetic carbon seal (preformed packing) in the AGB
drive pads.
10 flight cycles. Make sure the seal drain
line is disconnected from the AGB drain
module and the port has a plug.
NOTE: As soon as possible, replace the
magnetic carbon seal. Remove the drain line
plug, and connect the drain line to the AGB.

(6) EGT Thermocouple Probe
(a) If there is damage to the thermocouple harness pigtail leads, do the EGT indicating
system inspection and continue-in-operation limits (TASK 77-21-00-206-004-G02).
G. Fan (N1) Overspeed Inspection

(1) If the fan was operated at speeds from 117.0% (4016 rpm) to 125.0% (4290 rpm), refer to the
FIM 71-05-00-1.

(2) If the fan was operated at speeds above 125.0% (4290 rpm), do the steps that follow:
(a) Replace the engine (TASK 71-00-02-004-004-G00 and TASK 71-00-02-404-233-G00).
