TURBINE SECTION - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. General
A. Turbine section consists of high pressure turbine rotor and nozzles, low pressure turbine rotor,
nozzles, and stator, and turbine rear frame.
B. High pressure turbine converts combustor exhaust gases into rotational force to drive high pressure
compressor. Low pressure turbine converts remaining energy from combustor exhaust gases to
drive fan and low pressure compressor.
