DO NOT GET SOLVENTS IN YOUR MOUTH OR EYES, OR ON YOUR SKIN.
DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM SOLVENTS. PUT ON A RESPIRATOR,
PROTECTIVE SPLASH GOGGLES, AND GLOVES WHEN YOU USE
SOLVENTS. KEEP THE SOLVENTS AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME, AND
HEAT. SOLVENTS ARE POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE. SOLVENTS CAN
CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONNEL, AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Clean the surfaces that you will seal as follows:
(a) Make a cleaning mixture that is 50% (by volume) solvent, B00094 and 50% alcohol,
B00679 [C04-035].
(b) Use the cleaning mixture to clean the oil and dirt from all the surfaces that you will seal.
(c) Dry all the surfaces with clean shop air.

(2) Apply the RTV sealant as follows:
NOTE: You can use a caulking gun, STD-6556to make the RTV adhesive easier to apply.
(a) Apply a layer of RTV adhesive (RTV Silicone Elastomer adhesive, A50311 [C01-006] or
RTV 108 adhesive, A00944 [C01-056]) to the internal surface of the blade retainer and
the top surface of the retainer-key.
(b) Immediately remove all the unwanted RTV adhesive from the dovetail slots and the disk.

(3) Cure the RTV adhesive for a minimum of 4 hours at room temperature (70-90°F (21-32°C)).
